    • This is why I think Apple's perceived security supremacy is just marketing. It's completely unreasonable to think that a device connected to the internet doesn't send data off-device. How could your internet-connected device stay connected if everything stays on the iPhone?

    • I recently read this; either this article or a similar one. This freaked me out too. I do try to limit what the apps can access, as much as I can and still keep the important apps functional; but most of the stuff they are talking about here all happens in the background so there's no control over it. I'm not going to stop using technology, but I still think there is cause for concern on a larger scale. We didn't anticipate Cambridge Analytica and Trump; we can't anticipate what else may happen with corporations, goverments, and bad actors getting continued access to information about who we are and everything we do.
