I've photographed a lot of different things, events and places, but nothing, absolutely touches people like a shot of a Pier.
Why is that? Any thoughts?
It is fun looking at the same Manhattan Beach Pier from different directions though, right?
For good measure, below, it's the Hermosa Beach Pier, which is longer than Manhattan's, and doesn't have the bonus of a roundhouse at the end. It does have a pretty cool distinction though. The HB Pier is where Ryan Gosling sang "City of Stars" in the film "La La Land."
Top that Manhattan!
