    • One of my sticking points in getting a new iPhone has been the idea of giving up plug-in headphones. I’ve been using wired headphones since the invention of the portable music player over thirty years ago.

So the thought of getting rid of plug-ins for wireless didn’t sit well. A few years ago, I was given a pair of Bluetooth headphones and it was a necklace with retractable earphones monstrosity that was used twice and then discarded.

I’m not opposed to improvements in technology. I was at first flummoxed when they removed the headband from headphones 🎧, if for no other reason than that I was happy with the way things were, but the convenience of being able to carry a pair in a spare pocket made me a convert.

So when they said the new iPhones were sans a headphone jack, I balked. It felt like another BS move by Apple to make stuff that was no longer backwards compatible.

      And then I found this.

    • Lightning to 3.5 mm headphone socket adapter - works like a charm, I just received another one from Amazon today - who knew that Amazon could deliver by US Postal Service on a Sunday?

I have a couple of them that I leave permanently attached to some earphones that I still like and use when I'm not using my wireless AirPods or my Sony Wireless head phones. I guess that makes me AC/DC or unable to make decisions? Or commitments? 😎🥺

I have a set of Bose ear pods with noise canceliing ( Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones - ears buds actually ) that I really like, but they require a 3.5mm plug so now I am a happy camper again.

    • oh wow, I've been looking for this for a year. Apple store told me it didn't exist the last time I tried.

    • I had a walkman before they had a cassette player - just an FM radio.

But as soon as I could dump the headphone cable I did.

Anyhoo. Most of my music I play on the move now comes off my watch.
