    • I'm fascinated with the study of AI and the future of our species and technology so it's no surprise that I love AI movies. What AI movies do you think are prescient? I like so many of them I don't know where to begin. Ex Machina is a fairly recent one I liked then there is of course the new Blade Runner movie.

    • Without spoiling the plot, one of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time is "Ex Machina". The metamorphosis of a robot into a "human" that thinks, feels and behaves like one kept me at the edge of my seat both fascinated and a bit scared 😲

    • Count me among the Ex Machina fans. The aesthetics were terrific as was the pacing. It also had a more sophisticated take on artificial intelligence than most other films of the genre. I was especially impressed by the notion that the Turing Test needs to be updated to something like "make a human think a machine is human even when you know it's a machine." I don't recall exactly how this was put, but I've been thinking for a long time that the Turing Test is indeed obsolete in the age of increasingly effective chatbots.
