HBO’s new series, Barry, starring Bill Hader, is a dark comedy about a hitman who decides to take up acting. It premiered last weekend and I really enjoyed the first episode!
I’ve always liked Bill Hader on SNL but never realized how good of an actor he is. His character is somewhat serious and reflective (so far) which adds a refreshing tension, given Hader’s past gravitation toward more exuberant characters.
The first episode seemed to balance the funny and the sincere quite well and I’m excited to see where they take the show.
Has anyone else seen it? Thoughts?
