      and it’s time for another

      W&Bshot Wednesday!

I decided to try a little abstraction with my photo this week. (If you figure out what it is, use the 💡 emoji to let me know.)

But it’s up to your muse what you decide to share!

    • It was a single exposure on a 5D Mk IV at ISO 320. - it was a grey overcast sky, so the contrast ratios weren't as high as it might look after monochrome conversion.

The islands of Scotland are great places to wander - Mull, Skye, Lewis and Harris are all I have seen - but I would return again if possible - the land and its people are truly lovely.

    • spent a few days in Harry Potter World and these guys were creepy in the movie- then when I made the photo Black and White .... yikes ...

    • 1700 dirt miles around the GG?!! I want your life. Have a map of the route by any chance?

I went to Normandy for the 75th anniversary of D Day and took photos of the re-enactors. I made some of them B&W to match period photos.

    • Just so it stays in context here is a black and white version, if you need actual tracks, GPX lmk, it's a weeks worth of camping and riding...and no crowds, actually NO people. One of the remotest points averages around 20 visitors a years according to a NP GC ranger...who'd never been there and wanted to know what it was like!

      W&Bshot Wednesday!

I spent some time in Florida and noticed this Christmas display still up in January.

But it’s up to your muse what you decide to share!

    • Stormy Sunrise at Stinson Beach, California.

      Shot on a Sony RX100 V, 24mm f1.8, ISO 200, 1/30

Originally I wanted to share this photo in full color. The bright purples of the sky and dark shadows of the hills were wonderful in the original photo. But after playing with it in Lightroom I decided to convert it to B&W because the contrast of the wooden bridge leading to the beach is already strong enough.

    • My shot from last Saturday's Mushroom shot, given a B&W edit. Still not that flash at B&W something for me to work on, the editing etc no worries, just getting the right subject matter and working it, I've done a few older buildings and historic buildings etc they seem to work well, the old sheep station I did a few years back also went well, something to add to my list of things to work on.
