There’s a certain mindset that you witness when you are privileged enough to hear the thought processes of creators such as the late and great photographer Galen Rowell; Wayne Goodrich, the producer of Steve Jobs’s presentations for 20 years; and other brilliants. Discovering there was an entire series on the creative minds of design was, for me, like being a kid in a candy store.

Abstract: The Art of Design is one of the most compelling series on Netflix. The designer behind the most quintessential sneakers of the last two decades, the designer over Instagram’s makeover, a typographer who’s created some of the most iconic logos and typefaces of a generation. Designers with a lifetime of experience expound on how and why they do what they do, from architecture to fashion to illustration. It’s also one of the most visually stunning series to watch: if you’re at all creative, it’s easy to become inspired for your craft from watching an episode.
