    • I saw @pixelhalloffame talk about the announcement of Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening:

It led me to find out that Nintendo also announced Super Mario Maker 2 for the Switch! I don't know how I missed this.

I loved the first Super Mario Maker! It was incredibly fun to build a level then hand over the controller to see if my family could beat it. I loved laughing as I watched my brother try and get past the traps I purposefully built for him. 😈

One of my favorite modes was the 100 Mario Challenge. You'd get 100 lives to complete 8 easy courses, 16 normal courses, and 6 expert courses. The best part is that these were user-created courses!

It's amazing what the community built with Super Mario Maker. Some of the levels were absolutely brutal:

Any other Super Mario Maker fans out there? I'm excited to see this come to the Switch and what the community will build this time around.

    • I’ve never played Mario Maker but am definitely intrigued. That second video you posted looks absolutely impossible! There’s no way I’d ever get past the first couple moves.

It looks like this would be a fun game to play with family like you mentioned. I’d also be very interested to see how they handle some of the design interfaces for creating levels. Seems like some of the interactions look pretty clever.

I’ll probably give this game a shot!

    • The maker interface is super fun. It also encourages you to play the sample levels since you have beat the levels in order to unlock building elements. There are a ton of tutorial videos on YouTube, but here’s one just to give you an idea:

Definitely check it out. I think it would be right up your alley!
