I thought I had a good idea about which states had the most overweight and obese inhabitants.
But I was surprised.
I found the statistics worrisome but I did not agree with all of the reasoning.
The U.S. spends in total nearly $200 billion in annual health care costs related to obesity.
New findings by the Physical Activity Council suggest a need for more aggressive efforts to combat the issue. According to the report, 82.1 million Americans aged 6 and older were completely inactive in 2018. Lack of physical activity is a leading cause of obesity, in addition to genetics, emotional instability and sleeplessness.
Really? Where in there is a mention of what affect what you eat might have on the fat problem?
Sleeplessness is important enough to mention but not the diet?
Down further into the article it does mention some food related things but pretty minor. The article should have focused a lot more on the diet I think.
Very interesting to see what Comfort Food is associated with each state. Some foods I have never even heard of.
