Having been to Cape Town, South Africa, @Chris and I both know that great white sharks are a major tourist attraction in the region. For reasons unknown (there are theories like the presence of killer whales), the presence of great white sharks in False Bay off Cape Town has started to drop precipitously over the last few years with none being spotted for 20 months. That is until earlier this week when a great white shark was once again spotted in False Bay.

This is obviously very exciting news both for marine biologists and for Cape Town as a whole. Hopefully more great white sharks will be spotted in the coming months!
