    • One more - from this week too. Photoshoot for Heavy Duty on this custom Road King.

I asked the shop if they'd supply a driver and let me shoot from their van.

The image stabilisation from the Z6 is really good. This is hand held out of a van doing 60kph.

      Nikor 28-300mm F/3.5-5.6 lens at 28mm, 1/25th F18 ISO 100.

Tweaked a bit in photoshop. Removed a couple of posts.

      But 1/25.

My buddy Phil called and told me he'd been given a 'hall pass' for his 40th birthday. He lives in Montana and was willing to put his bike in the back of his truck and drive anywhere in the country for a good week of riding.

This shot is taken at the top of Corkscrew Pass just outside Ouray Colorado, this afternoon we rode Corkscrew, Hurricane, California, Cinnamon, Engineer and Red Mountain.

Over the next few days, I took him around the four corners area and we also rode the White Rim Trail in Moab (second shot), I wanted to make it a birthday to remember

    • Choosing the right motorcycle, but more importantly learning the skill for the occasion, can help avoid getting into a struggle, as seen here in one off road riding school student's experience he's about to have, trying to climb up a steep rutted slope with a fully loaded GS1200, somewhere near Death Valley, CA.

I had a lot of fun there and learned some good riding tricks. Sorry for not posting all shooting numbers, I basically had the Canon on auto 😉
