Well, it is bad enough that big food and beverage businesses in the USA use every tactic they can think of to get folks in America to buy their unhealthy products. But they are getting more serious about international sales now that Americans are becoming more aware of the dangers of poor diets.

Even in America where most people know that too much sugar is not good for you we still consume too much of it. But it sounds like American businesses are using marketing savvy to promote exercise instead of diet improvement internationally. If the Chinese are deceived then, of course, they are going to attracted to the attractive American products that taste good but are unhealthy. Such a sad situation.
