Hope's Corner Kicks Off 2018/19 Operating Fundraiser
Hope's Corner, the volunteer facility serving meals, offering showers, and providing support in the center of Mountain View, has begun construction of its long awaited commercial kitchen and laundry.
During the past seven years Hope's Corner has served over 50,000 hot meals and bag lunches. We have provided hot showers and emotional support for an average of 200 local needy and homeless individuals each week.
The facility expansion adds the capability to serve meals on additional days of the week, to provide training in culinary and hospitality skills and a laundry.
Now we need to raise additional funds to meet the increased operating costs, including part-time kitchen staff. This years goal is $100K.
The facility expansion has been funded from sizable donations from local companies, individuals, and agencies. These funds are earmarked only for the expansion.
Hope's Corner will continue to rely in large part on donations to fund its operations. We welcome past and future supporters to join us with our fundraising kick-off on Giving Tuesday (November 27, 2018) or to go to the Hope's Corner website and click the secure Donate button.
