I had left home a little bit late and had arrived at the meeting place late, but I wasn't that late. Still, when I got there, everyone was already gone. While I had never been to today's final destination, I was familiar with the area and the …

Trust me, riding to work has been suggested and considered before, but it just isn't possible. I would love to be able to do it, but circumstances don't allow it.

Keep at it and you'll get there someday. I have found that a lot of cycling is in the head. Riding long distances or doing hard climbs is more mental than physical. Our minds tends to give up before the body does.

Funny thing...just came back from ride that was just under 110 kilometres. While everything was fine during the ride — as in there was no discomfort or soreness coming from the saddle or anything around there — I noticed while I was in the shower …

I agree with @Ridge that probably the best solution is to make sure of your saddle fit (height and width) and then to ride more and let yourself become accustomed to riding again. I will assume that you already know that when it comes to long rides …

Sunday morning, which is the only morning of the week I am able to ride, I managed to get out of bed in time to meet up with the guys and join them on their bike ride. I myself rode a total of sixty-six kilometres in just under three hours and …

Sorry that I haven't been active lately. It seems I have a choice of either being active on here or getting other things done, and sometimes those things are things I want to do and not work related. I have gotten on a few bike rides lately, and …

I tried to answer those questions last night before I went to bed but I was actually only able to answer the first one. I'll try again tonight.

I was pretty sure @lidja had replied to this with a story about her mother but I don't see it now. I just came by to respond to it and it appears to be missing. @lidja, did you delete it?

I wasn't able to make it out for a ride. I had gotten ready for the ride but wasn't able to get out of bed in time. To be honest, I wouldn't say that I was missing having Fridays off. I would be nice, yes, but not having that day off or the switch …

Oh, by the way, regarding changing how you feel based on the actions you take... I do agree with you that having a more positive outlook on things might make things seem better. I have been aware of the opposite of that and have been wondering if …

The way fortune telling here works is that you give the person your name, your date of birth, and the time you were born and then a table or chart is produced. How, I don't know. From that, the fortune teller can then decipher — through, I am …

Those are both very good ideas. The funny thing is that for a long time — probably at least three or four years but I can't remember how long — I was off all day on Friday. I was able to arrange my classes so that I was busier on a couple days but …

A gloomy sky and a gloomy day for a gloomy mood... We are in the middle of a four-day weekend: Today is day two. I should feel happy, I should feel relaxed, but I don't. I would have before. Before I would have been thinking that I have four days …

I started following the thread, but I see no way to comment on it. I can reply to other people's replies, but I see no way to reply to the OP's post.

Sorry for the confusion, but there hasn't been any change in my work places. By "old school" I am referring to the school I left last June and had been working at for twelve years. My "new school" is the school I have been working at since July. …

Things are pretty much normal here. Nothing is closed and people might be staying at home more often, but they're still going out. I keep reading about things over in North America and Europe and wondering what it must be like.

We went out for breakfast this morning and there weren't too many people there. When we went there before on a Sunday we usually had to wait for a table to sit at. I mentioned this to my family and commented that I wonder if, because of COVID-19 …
